recently i went out to the mall for the day with my family, and ended up picking up a lot more clothes than usual, and i thought i would share them with you! keep in mind i’ve paired the new pieces with other clothes that are a little bit older (omg they’re so last season!) so you may not find them in stores any more. however, i’ll leave links to their stores! enjoy 🙂
“happy new attitude” sweater from www.zara.ca – even though this looks like a rough knit material on the outside, it is super comfy and soft on the inside! the one thing i did not like was the length because it is a crop top style, so i paired it with a sleeveless button down from www.hm.com/ca on top of my black leggings from www.forever21.ca and my black low-cut sneakers from www.converse.com… this was a great outfit for walking around all day and for keeping me warm in the cold canadian weather!
floral patterned sweater/sweatshirt from www.hm.com/ca – this is one of the most beautiful floral patterns i have seen this season and makes this sweater a cosy top that you can dress up or dress down! i decided to dress it down with my favourite ripped denim overalls from www.shopjustice.com and my pink high tops from www.converse.com. the one thing that annoyed me was i found the sweater a little baggy under my overalls, so if you are planning to wear it under something you may want to get a smaller size so it’s a little more snug! other than that, i really enjoyed wearing this outfit.
denim jacket from www.hm.com/ca – a few days ago i was about to leave the house when i grabbed my jean jacket throwing it on, only to find that it had suddenly become very tight. so, when i went to the mall i searched for a replacement as spring is soon approaching and a denim jacket is usually my go-to. i saw a few nice jackets, but they all ranged from $75 to $95, which i thought was outrageous! my mom ensured me that those prices weren’t too crazy but i insisted on looking for something cheaper. and h&m had a similar jacket for $30! i was a little unsure of the colour because i am used to wearing darker denim, but i decided to take a chance on the light colour and i love it! i wore it over my cheetah print jumpsuit from www.suzyshier.ca and my black flats with gold heels from www.anntaylor.ca. this outfit would perfect for a summer barbeque, but i do not suggest wearing it right now… despite my smile, i was freezing my butt off in this picture!
owl printed blouse from www.hm.com/ca – this high necked blouse is super cute and very different from most of the things in my closet, so i thought i would give it a go! it is very “flow-y” but i tucked it into my high-waisted white denim bell bottoms from www.joefresh.ca and again paired it with the black flats i mentioned before. i think this outfit is a little bit fancier than the other clothes i’ve showed but it is still super comfortable!
blue floral sweater from www.hm.com/ca – this sweater is super cute and cozy and can be worn with pants or leggings! i decided to go for jeans from www.ae.com and the red tee i wore under is also from h&m! i tucked my jeans into my boots from www.uggaustralia.ca and threw on a few necklaces to make it an outfit that would be perfect for a day spent chilling out with friends!
tee with lace patterned sleeves from www.ae.com – i loved this black shirt so much that i also bought it in red as you can see above! i paired the black one with cheetah print velvet jeans from www.gapcanada.ca, a long statement necklace from www.suzyshier.ca and my black boots from www.lacoste.com/ca. i wore the red one with grey lace patterned jeans from the d-signed collection at www.target.ca and the same boots! as you can see, the shirt does have a slit at the back so i wore a black tank top from www.oldnavy.ca under it. this top is very pretty but also super soft and wearable. however, it is a thinner material and would probably be better to wear in the summer on a warmer spring day!
okay, so that is it for this blog post! i hope you enjoyed hearing about what i bought. let me know in the comments if you want me to do something similar to this again 🙂
